New Game Teaser

Fri, Feb 22, 2008 (12:34 PM)
So what has Nihilistic been up to since Conan? More than one thing, actually. Most of the team is hard at work on improving our engine & tools for a large-scale PS3/XB360 title that will be released in early 2010. Sorry its so far away, but the scale is pretty epic so we're taking our time to make sure its just right.

It's a big departure from Conan in a lot of ways. We can't say much yet, but I will say that its a much more exploration-based game than our past titles. The player will be encouraged to explore a whole world of possibilities and discover things at their own pace, so its a much less linear experience than Conan.

We're also doing a lot of R&D on new animation techniques and visual styles, so when you see the first screenshots and videos of the game in action, you'll see the fruits of that labor.

In the meantime, we've taken advantage of this R&D phase to let the team have a little fun in a genre they've always loved -- Zombie Horror! In the next few months, we will be releasing our first downloadable game to the public. We're still keeping the title and exact mechanics under wraps, but the image below will give you a little taste of what we've cooked up.

Our goal was to capture all the classic moments from our favorite Zombie films, the serious ones and the more tongue-in-cheek ones, and roll it all into a fast-paced fun action/arcade game.

We've always wanted to try to apply our skills to a fun & simple downloadable game, so we're anxious to see how our hack-n-slash Zombie fest appeals to the gamer public.

Expect to see the game available for download sometime this summer! Feel free to comment on what you'd like to see in a Zombie shooter.

Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption

Mon, Jul 10, 2006 (9:59 AM)
After releasing in 2000, Nihilistic's first commercial release has continued a steady stream of sales for seven years. Vampire helped get the Nihilistic name into the minds of gamers and we are thrilled to have reached the half million benchmark with our first game. It continues to generate money for the company and was a solid foundation for Nihilistic.

Starcraft: Ghost

Fri, Jun 30, 2006 (1:35 PM)

According to Blizzard this game is on indefinite hold. Nihilistic put a lot of hard work into this game and it shows. It is too bad this game never saw the light of day as it could have been the next big hit in the StarCraft series.
