Farewell BBQ and Plane Crash


	This event was in honor of an employee who had been with us for many years. Steve Thoms is a champion amongst men and his talents and abilities always shined through at work. You will be deeply missed Steve as well as your dog Sota. The Thoms family has headed back home on a road trip across the country to the Land of 10,000 lakes (there are 12,000 actually) also known as Minnesota. Take care Steve and stay warm in that frozen tundra! I would start off by saying our BBQ went off without a hitch, but I would be lying. It was a great BBQ and everyone had a fantastic time as we ate till we were about to burst and still had enough leftovers for a second BBQ. Great job by our staff for getting everything set up and making sure we had enough supplies for the event. Top notch job by one and all...not to mention delicious! A quick review of the BBQ/Plane crash event...as I am sure you all want to know. While everyone was enjoying their food and fun we all turned to watch a gentleman fly his remote controlled plane overhead. The plane sounded as if it was dying but, what I am sure was a great idea at the time, this guy tried to show off with his plane flying skills (or lack thereof) by making it do a back flip in midair. As the plane tried to finish the stunt it began to lose momentum and plummeted to the ground, but had just enough juice to slam into the side of one of our employee's cars. This accident blew out both of the windows and put a nice sized dent in the door, the engine of the plane landed on the driver's seat as well as the gas tank. Now if that isn't a way to cap off a BBQ then I don't know what is...more pictures can be found here. No one was hurt and the insurance company is taking care of it all.
