Nihilistic is Expanding

Nihilistic is pleased to announce it is expanding its facilities in the Hamilton Landing Hangars complex by another 33% as of Spring 2008 to make room for their growing team.

The expansion includes new space for conference rooms and a new rec room, while also giving space for about 20 new workstations for artist, programmers, and designers.

Nihilistic was the first game developer to relocate to the former Hamilton Air Force Base Hangars, later followed by Visual Concepts/Take 2, Toys for Bob, and several film & effects studios including Sony Imageworks and the new Disney-backed Imagemovers Digital complex.

The hangars give Nihilistic great flexibility to create an open work environment without offices, walls, or cubicles.  Nihilistics last expansion in 2006 added a new front lobby, an expanded theater, and a new design war room equipped with three flat-screen TV panels and a video link for playtest observations on games in development.

With the latest expansion, Nihilistic's offices will occupy about 75% of the ground floor of Hangar #5. Together with this expansion, Nihilistic is ramping up a second pre-production team to begin work on another next-generation project concurrent with its current (unannounced) PS3/XB360 effort.  Several new jobs have been posted to the Nihilistic website for this expansion.
